If you already take bookings through freetobook, you do not need to change anything. directbook.uk builds you a hand-built website for a one-time £1,999, and your existing freetobook booking flow is embedded on it. Bookings keep flowing through your freetobook account, payments go to your own account, and we take zero commission. We never ask for your freetobook password.

How the integration works

1. You stay in control of freetobook. Your account, your rates, your availability and your payment setup stay exactly as they are.
2. You paste in a small code snippet. freetobook provides an embed code or booking link for your property. You paste it where we show you, and it takes about two minutes.
3. We design the site around it. Your website gets proper room pages, photos, local area content and your story. We embed the freetobook booking widget directly on your site where possible; where freetobook only supports a booking link, we place it prominently so the path to booking stays short. Either way, checkout and payment are handled by freetobook and your own accounts.
4. Bookings land in freetobook as normal. Nothing changes on the freetobook side. You manage reservations the way you do today.

Why add a website if freetobook already works?

freetobook handles your reservations well, but on its own it does not give you a place guests find through search, remember, and return to. Your own website lets you rank for your property name and your area, present your rooms and breakfast properly, and give repeat guests a direct route that avoids agency commission. The booking still goes through freetobook, you just own the front door.

What does freetobook itself cost?

freetobook uses usage-based pricing: their site describes it as "only pay for what you use" with no tie-in contracts. As of our last check, channel bookings were priced around £1.50 each with a £9/month minimum and £99/month cap (see our cost guide for the breakdown), but freetobook sets its own rates and they can change, so confirm current pricing at freetobook.com. One extra line to check: freetobook lists a separate Card Payments annual fee (£139, or £99 for a single unit) if you take card payments through their system rather than your own Stripe account. Whether it applies depends on your payment setup, so confirm which path you are on before budgeting. What does not change: whatever you pay freetobook, your directbook.uk website adds no commission on top. Our £1,999 is one-time, and we never take a cut of your bookings.
